Chelsey Bishop

Since becoming a mother in 2011, I’ve been an active advocate for mothers. I gave birth to my oldest, Pearl, during spring break my senior year at ETSU. I have two bachelor’s degrees, one in public relations and the other in journalism. I did my public relations internship at Quillen ETSU Physicians for BABE Breastfeeding Coalition, the region’s support organization for both healthcare providers and community members promoting a supportive breastfeeding environment.

After the birth of my son, Elijah, I was the President of MOMS Club of Kingsport, serving around 35 mothers with program management, community relations, budgeting, fundraising, event planning, organizing committees and meetings, marketing, public speaking, and teaching. My greatest achievement as president was creating and maintaining a supportive environment for the families to create lifelong friendships.

Today, I’m a labor and postpartum doula and a yoga instructor.
